Tanzania names squad for Nigeia qualifiers

Tanzania have announced a solid 20-man team to face Nigeria in the September’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Coach Charles Mkwasa’s squad is made up of one foreign based player and 19 local based professionals from Simba, Azam FC and Yanga.

The first leg ended 0-0 in Dar es Salaam and inconsequential return leg billed for Uyo will be used by coach Mkwasa to test his new recruits.

Benno Kakolanya, Jeremiah Juma, Hassan Kabunda, Mohamed Ibrahim and Joseph Mahundi were dropped while Shomari Kapombe, Haji Mwinyi and David Mwantika were recalled to the squad.

GOALKEEPERS: Deogratius Munish (Yanga), Aishi Manula (Azam FC)

DEFENDERS : Mwinyi Haji (Yanga), Andrew Vincent (Yanga), Shomari Kapombe (Azam FC), Kelvin Yondani (Yanga), David Mwantika (Azam FC)

MIDFIELDERS : Himid Mao (Azam FC), Juma Mahadhi (Yanga), Jamal Mnyate (Simba) Mzamiru Yassin (Simba), Jonas Mkude (Simba).

FORWARDS: John Bocco (Azam), Farid Mussa (Azam FC), Ibrahim Ajib (Simba), Shiza Kichuya (Simba), Mohammed Hussein (Mwadui FC), Ibrahim Rajab, Simon Msuva and Mbwana Samatta (KRC Genk).
