Chukwueze among offensive duel leaders in EPL

By Daily Sports Nigeria on March 31, 2026

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most combative attacking players this season, ranking second among wingers and attacking midfielders for offensive duels won in the English top flight.

According to data from analytics platform Data MB, the Fulham loanee, who is ranked on 53.61%, trails only Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon, who has 57.35% in that category, finishing ahead of Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka on 50.73%, widely regarded as one of the division’s finest players.

Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo (50.41%) and Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy (50.0%) complete the top five.

Chukwueze joined Fulham from AC Milan on a season-long loan last summer and has established himself as one of the shrewder acquisitions of the transfer window.

The 26-year-old has contributed three goals and four assists in 17 appearances for the Cottagers, earning the trust of manager Marco Silva to the point where the club are now expected to make his move permanent.

The offensive duel statistic underlines that his impact at Craven Cottage extends well beyond goal involvements, reflecting consistent effort and physicality in one-on-one situations across the campaign.

His buy clause is reported to be in the region of €30m, a fee Fulham are widely expected to trigger before the end of the season.
