Moroccan Coach Sends A Strong Warning Message To Nigeria Ahead Of Their AFCON Clash On Wednesday

By DailySports Nigeria on January 13, 2026

According to report from BBC Sports on 12th January, 2026, Moroccan head coach Walid Regragui while speaking in his recent press conference sends a strong warning message to the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their upcoming African Cup of Nations clash on Wednesday.

In his speech, Walid Regragui made it clear that Morocco is not joking with this tournaments’ AFCON trophy and his players are already focused on securing the Cup this time.

He recounted that there is no doubt Nigeria is a strong team in Africa and have proven that so far by defeating other strong nations in the campaign, but Walid warns that they must not play against Morocco thinking they can’t be defeated because they will not win Morocco on Wednesday.

He said “We know we are going to face a very strong country, but Nigeria must understand that they are coming here to lose, not to win.

We are ready to help ourselves by taking the victory. However, if they try to take the victory away from us, we will give them more than they expect. We are fully prepared and determined to win.”

However, some football analysts had predicted Nigeria will win Morocco on Wednesday, but this warning message to the Super Eagles from Walid Regragui will definitely receive some responses and reactions overtime.
