The second round of the 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) came to an electrifying end on Sunday at the Moonshine Arena, Nnewi High School, Anambra State, with thrilling contests underlining the quality and competitiveness of this season’s campaign.

Former champions Kada Beach Soccer Club reaffirmed their title credentials with a ruthless 7-1 demolition of Jigawa Golden Star BSC.

The Kaduna-based side, who remain unbeaten this season, dominated from start to finish, spearheaded by the brilliance of Dozie Frank. The forward, who was later named Man of the Match, netted four goals in a stellar display that left fans in awe.

Supporting strikes from James Mamman, Victor Tale, and Ebuka James completed the emphatic victory and stretched Kada’s winning run to seven games.

The result keeps Kada firmly at the top of the standings and sets them apart as the most consistent side of the campaign so far.

Hosts Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors rose to the occasion in front of their fans, sealing a spirited 4-2 victory over Ibom BSC.

The Warriors produced a balanced attacking performance with goals from Chinedu Ichoku, Peter Prosper, Austine Eze, and Momo Miracle, who also walked away with the Man of the Match award for his tireless display.

Despite late efforts from Uwana Aniete and Effiong Eyo for Ibom, the home side’s defensive resilience and attacking efficiency proved decisive. The win was particularly significant for the Warriors, who had earlier suffered heartbreak against Kebbi Fishers in Nnewi, and will now carry renewed confidence into the next round.

Defending champions Kebbi Beach Soccer Club also maintained their grip on the title race with a composed 3-0 victory over Nmanko Patigi BSC.

The experienced side displayed discipline, tactical maturity, and clinical finishing, underlining why they remain one of the most respected clubs in the NBSL. The clean sheet win also highlights their defensive strength, which has been a cornerstone of their success over the past two seasons.

Round Two of the 2025 NBSL has delivered everything the fans expected—goals, drama, and standout individual performances.

Kada BSC’s flawless form remains the headline story, but Kebbi BSC’s consistency and Anambra Warriors’ resilience on home soil added layers of intrigue to the title race.

Players like Dozie Frank (Kada BSC) and Momo Miracle (Anambra Warriors) have emerged as the stars of the round, both clinching Man of the Match honors and driving their teams forward with decisive contributions.

As the league heads into the next phase, all eyes will be on whether Kada BSC can sustain their unbeaten run, how defending champions Kebbi BSC will mount pressure in the race, and if Anambra Warriors can build momentum from their home win to climb the standings.

With two rounds completed, the competition remains wide open. The Nigeria Beach Soccer League continues to cement its reputation as the premier beach soccer championship in Africa, showcasing a blend of skill, flair, and resilience across every matchday.

The next round promises even more intensity, with top-of-the-table clashes and relegation battles set to define the shape of the season.
