We are writing to report a very serious and unfair incident that happened during the match between Nigeria and Morocco on July 26, 2025.
During the game, many people saw that Moroccan fans used laser lights to distract and disturb Nigerian players. This happened especially during important moments like free kicks and penalties. These laser beams were pointed directly into the eyes of our players.
This kind of behavior is dangerous and very wrong. It is not fair, not safe, and goes against the rules of the game. Laser lights can hurt the eyes and stop players from performing well. This is a form of cheating and should not be allowed in football.
We kindly ask CAF to:
Investigate the incident properly, using video and security reports.
Punish the Moroccan team or fans if found guilty, according to the rules.
Make stronger rules and security checks to stop fans from bringing or using laser lights in stadiums.
We believe CAF must take this matter seriously. All players deserve to feel safe and respected on the field. If nothing is done, this kind of bad behavior will continue.
Please take action to protect the integrity of African football.
Thank you for your attention.
