We Apologize To Our Father Dr Peter Odili On Behalf Of His Children Who Have Gone Astray – Edison Ehie

Rivers State Chief of Staff and Former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Edison Ehie has issued a public apology to former Governor Peter Odili, addressing what he described as  embarrassing television comments made by fellow Orashi region politicians during a recent gathering hosted by the FCT Minister.

Speaking at an empowerment program organized by the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area chairman, Ehie specifically addressed comments made by Felix Obuah and Chibudom Nwuche. In a video coverage captured by AIT News from 0:53, Hon. Ehie highlighted the political debt owed to Odili: “Where did their career start? Chibudom Nwuche was Deputy Speaker of the House of Rep; who made him speaker? Is it not Odili? Felix Obuah was Local Government Chairman; Odili made him Local Government Chairman.”

He also stated that the current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike benefitted from the political leadership of Dr. Peter Odili: “Wike was Local Government Chairman; who made him Local Government Chairman? It is the same Odili.”

The Chief of Staff concluded with a formal apology on behalf of the Orashi community: “We want to stand here on behalf of the Orashi people to apologize to our father, Dr. Peter Odili, on behalf of his children who have gone astray, to say what we did not send them.”
