Besiktas eye January move for Chukwueze

By Daily Sports Nigeria on November 22, 2024

Turkish giants Besiktas JK have reportedly placed AC Milan forward Samuel Chukwueze on their transfer radar.

The Nigerian winger played a key role for Augustine Eguavoen’s side in their final match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, scoring the first goal for the Super Eagles. However, his joy was short-lived as Rwanda came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Nigeria.Nigerian football match tickets

According to reports from Fotomac, Besiktas are preparing to make an official offer for Chukwueze, who has yet to make a significant impact at Milan. Despite his talent and potential, the 24-year-old has struggled for consistency in Serie A.

Chukwueze, who is also a close friend and international teammate of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen—currently on loan at Galatasaray—has long been admired for his attacking flair and pace on the wing.

Besiktas management is keen on bolstering their squad and sees Chukwueze as a valuable addition to their offensive lineup.

The move would see the Nigerian winger link up with Osimhen in the Turkish Super Lig, where he would hope to continue his development and make an impact in a new league.Nigerian football match tickets

Negotiations are expected to ramp up in January, with Besiktas eager to make their move. However, Milan views Chukwueze as a key backup option for Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao, which could complicate any potential transfer.
