Blues to rival Devils for Lookman

By Daily Sports Nigeria on June 28, 2024

Chelsea are interested in signing Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman and are prepared to offer close to €60m, according to reports.

This is coming after Manchester United indicated interest in signing Lookman this summer, and are willing to put in an offer of €60m to get him, according to reports in Italy.

The Blues have already been busy in the transfer market and have signed Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, whilst they have also agreed deals to sign Aston Villa’s Omari Kellyman and Barcelona’s Marc Guiu.

It’s been reported that Chelsea are looking to sign two attacking players this summer and they have been linked with a whole host of names from across Europe.

Chelsea are clearly in the market for a wide player, having been heavily interested in Michael Olise, before pulling out of a deal because they believed the finances were beyond their reach.

However, Italian outlet Calciomercato have reported that Chelsea are interested in Atalanta winger Lookman, and they are prepared to offer close to €60m for the Nigerian.

The report also adds that fellow Premier League clubs Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested in the 26-year-old.

Lookman had a brilliant season for Atalanta and scored a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, with the Serie A outfit no doubt desperate to keep hold of one of their star players.
