Full house expected in Ibadan as 3SC, Rangers clash

By Daily Sports Nigeria on June 11, 2024

Ibadan is set to witness another thrilling showdown as Shooting Stars prepare to host Enugu Rangers in a highly anticipated NPFL match on Wednesday.

The match will air live on StarTimes Beta Sports Channel 244 at 5:30 pm.

With both teams boasting passionate fan bases, a massive crowd is expected to fill the stadium, creating an electric atmosphere for this clash. Rangers’ sudden surge of fans in their previous two games in Lagos and Enugu will be a morale boost to the leaders as they eye the NPFL title.

The match carries significant implications for both sides as they vie for crucial points. Rangers are on 62 points, while awaiting the NPFL’s verdict on the outcome of their match against Enyimba in Enugu, which was suspended deep into stoppage time on Sunday due to a pitch invasion by fans protesting a penalty awarded to the Flying Antelopes.

With 56 points and having won 14 home games, Shooting will be looking to leverage their home advantage and secure a victory that could propel them further up the table. However, they have struggled against clubs from the Southeast this season, home and away, with a record of five losses, one draw and one win.

Rangers hold the bragging rights ahead of the encounter, having secure a 2-0 victory over the Oluyole Warriors in the reverse fixture.

Before the epic encounter, StarTimes Beta Sports Channel 244 will air the Gombe United vs Abia Warriors match at 3:30pm.
