Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie tops the list of speakers to grace the eighth edition of the 2024 Ladies in Sports International Conference, organisers of the event has informed The PUNCH.

The event, which will hold from June 5 to 7 in Lagos, will see the LIS hold a fitness and health session on the opening day, followed by a football clinic for children, before the much-anticipated conference will take centre stage on the final day at the Marriot Hotel, Ikeja.

Nnadozie will be joined by a host of brilliant speakers to grace the conference alongside ex-Falcons striker, Desire Oparanoize, and world record holder and Paralympic champion Folashade Oluwafemiayo.

Other speakers are Julia Govinden, Founder of United Through Sports and media personality Omotunde David, popularly known as Lolo 1.

According to Tega Onajife, a top member of the organising team, the conference promises a perfect blend of diverse sectors that are linked to sports in one way or another, such as beauty, content creation and finance.

“The LIS International will give grants to some promising women athletes during the event, which also serves as a platform to build connections and foster collaborations,” Onajife said.

The LIS is a non-profit organisation founded in 2016 to promote women in sports and improve the standard of living of women in sports in Nigeria.
