The Nigeria Football Federation has declared the position of the Super Eagles head coach vacant following the expiration of the contract of Jose Peseiro at the end of  February.

With the departure of the Portuguese who led the Eagles to second place at the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the Glass House is out shopping for a replacement.

Reports of the appointment of former gaffer, Austin Eguavoen, as interim manager was denied by  NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau.

Also declared vacant is the position of the Golden Eaglets’ Head Coach

In an advertisement on its website calling for applications, the NFF stated the prospective Super Eagles coach “must have proven experience at the elite level of football.”

It added that applications can be sent to the email – jobs@thenff.com or via the link – https//thenff.com/jobs/head-coach-of-the-senior-mens-national-team-super-eagle/ latest by 6pm Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

While no game has been arranged for the Eagles ahead of the March 18 international free window, the federation remains is now faced with the task of appointing a new coach for the team before their next World Cup qualifiers in June.
