Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade has won the Player of the Month Award at Spanish Laliga Femeni side Atletico Madrid.
Ajibade has been an important player for Atletico Madrid since she joined the club in 2021. The Nigerian forward has been consistent for the Spanish club and has been a regular first-team player.
This season, she has registered four goals and three assists for Atletico Madrid, helping the club climb to fifth in the league.
In February, Ajibade helped Atletico Madrid to one win and three draws in five appearances. She assisted three of Atletico Madrid’s five goals in February.
Following her performances for the club in February, Ajibade has now been announced as the player of the month for February.
Ajibade is currently Atletico Madrid’s fourth-highest goalscorer in the Laliga Femeni with four goals, and she will be looking to increase her tally as they push for a higher placement on the table.
Las Colchoneras are 20 points behind first-place Barcelona Femeni and seven points behind the third-place Levante in the last Champions League qualifiers spot.
With twelve games left until the end of the season, Atletico Madrid will fancy their chances of breaking into the Champions League spots.
