JOF U-13 Cup Championship Hots Up Across Centres In Lagos

The ongoing 2024 edition of JOF U-13 Football Championship is gathering momentum with exciting matches being played across the venues in Lagos while results pouring in show that the race for the coveted trophy and the star prize is getting tougher.

At Lekki playground, Junior Arsenal from Alimosho beat Abey Boys of Ajah 2-0 Adeomo Babes of Okokomaiko lost 1-2 to Amezon Boys of Ikoyi, while Kola Babes of Ipaja triumphed over Afun Academy of Maryland in a match that ended 1-0 on Friday.

At Jalisco playground, Miracle FC of Ijesha lost 2-3 to Kamin Boys of Oyingbo. Zamadek Babes of Lagos Island beat Young Stars also from Lagos Island 1-0, while Warrior FC of Agege could not match Chelsea Boys from Ketu in an encounter that ended 4-3.

On Saturday, at Lekki playground, Bariga United lost their match against Ajiran Boys in 3-0 game. Omo Babes of Agbado beat Okota Academy 1-0. Oron Academy of Oyingbo best Ola Babes, Somolu 2-1

At Oshodi centre, Edet Academy of Aguda defeated Greater Tomorrow from Lagos Island 1-0. Oloto Babes from Otto lost 1-2 to Strong Dove from Orile Iganmu. ADC United, Ogba were beaten 2-0 to Adamu Academy from Idi Araba

Sunday's matches at Oshodi centre saw Sandra Babes from Mile 2 winning their match against Ajegunle Boys in 5-4 penalties after playing a barren draw in the regulation time.

Idimu Bombers lost 3-2 to Made Academy, while Tom Tim Boys of Orile got beating by Botife of Abule Egba in match that ended 1-0.

At Lekki playground, Orowo United.lost 0-2 to Solution Boys, Apapa, while Dopemu United defeated Tobi Boys via 4-3 penalties after 1-1 draw in the regulation time.

Matches continue in the weekend of 1-3 March, 2024 as teams fight for the tickets to the next round of the competition has been solely sponsored by JOF Nigeria Limited, a manufacturing company and supply chain service provider based in Lagos.

Meanwhile, Mr. Adeyinka Adetunji, Director, Strategic Sup­port Services, JOF Nigeria Limit­ed, urged the kids to enjoy their game and maintained high level of discipline on and off the pitch of play.

He added that, being a wholly Nigerian indigenous company, JOF Nigeria Limited, will always support development of grassroots football in order to give opportunity to the Nigerian talented youths to excel.
