Sterling treatment of Eagles very exalting -- Gumel

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has expressed its admiration for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commendable statesmanship in his treatment of the Super Eagles upon their return from the AFCON tournament.
Despite not securing the championship trophy, the team exhibited exceptional determination and displayed resilience throughout their journey, ultimately securing a well-deserved second-place finish.
A statement released by Tony Nezianya, the Public Relations Officer of NOC on behalf of Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, IOC member and NOC president, he said:
''President Tinubu's decision to award the team with the prestigious National Honours of MON brings great pride and motivation to future representatives of our beloved country.''
This esteemed recognition will undoubtedly serve as a driving force for upcoming athletes, inspiring them to give their all in pursuit of victory for our Fatherland.
The NOC commends President Tinubu's discernment in appreciating the team's efforts and acknowledging their significant contribution to Nigerian sports.
