Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has been tipped to leave Napoli next summer despite signing a new deal, PUNCH Sports Extra reports
According to Italian football agent Dario Canovi, Nigerian contract renewal with the Partenopei is aimed at increasing his valuation ahead of next summer’s transfer window.
“It is a renewal that simply serves to increase the price. I believe he will leave Napoli in June,” Canovi told via Napoli Magazine.
Osimhen has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Chelsea, and should an exit happen next summer, England will be the most likely destination.
Meanwhile, Italian club, Juventus, has seemingly trolled Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on Instagram as their defender pulled a mobile phone out of his pocket, showing a video of the duel won against the Nigerian in the wake of his contract extension with the Bianconeri.
Juventus announced Bremer’s contract until 2028 and celebrated the defender’s signature with several videos published on social media.
One of the videos showed the Brazilian centre-back emptying his pocket and leaving some objects on the table.
Among those was a mobile phone with a video showing duels he won against Leao and Osimhen this season.
The Bianconeri have beaten Napoli and Milan 1-0 this season and Italian media praised Bremer for nullifying both strikers.
This is not the first time the Nigerian has been trolled on social media this season.
In September, Osimhen, was trolled a pair of TikTok videos posted on Napoli’s official account.
This came after Napoli played out a goalless draw with Bologna.
Osimhen, who had hit the woodwork and missed a penalty in the encounter, was substituted five minutes from time and replaced by another center-forward, Gio Simeone and as he approached the bench, he visibly berated his former coach Rudi Garcia loudly asking why they couldn’t play with two strikers since they were trying to win.
At 24, Osimhen is arguably the greatest Napoli player since Diego Armando Maradona – Gonzalo Higuain and Edinson Cavani may have a case, but few othe
This is his fourth season at the club, and last year, he scored 31 goals in all competitions as he helped take Napoli to the Champions League quarter-finals and their first Serie A title in 33 years (only their third ever).
So far this season the former Lille striker has made 18 appearances across all competitions scoring eight times and making three assists.
