Rangers International FC of Enugu on Saturday at Awka City Stadium thrashed visiting 4-1 to to go top of NPFL table.
The Awka City Stadium is home for the cuutent league season.
The seven-time NPFL champions, Rangers Int'l went top of the NPFL log, after they picked their three straight home victories this season in the week 5 encounter.
Kano Pillars took an early lead through Muhammad Yakubu, in the 11th minute, before Godwin Obaje leveled it 1-1 from the spot in the 23 minute as the game was tied 1-1 in the first half.
However, it was a clear dominance by the Fidelis IIechukwu-led side scoring three goals in the second half, through a strike from Issac Saviour, in the 54 minutes and a brace by Chukwudi Nwaodu, in the 57th and 62nd minute, as the Flying Anteoples continued on their impressive start to the season.
In Gombe, Gombe United secured a late 1-0 win over Plateau United, at the Pantami Stadium, through a late winner by Sadiq Shuaibu, in the 90th minute.
Shuaibu converted from the spot kick to help the Babaganaru-led side secure the maximum points.
While Akwa United earned a vital point on the road, after they held Bendel Insurance to a goalless draw, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
The point became the Promise Keepers's first away point on the road this season.Six more matches will be played across six centers on Sunday.
