Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has picked out Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and Georgian footballer Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the ones his side is to watch out for in their UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday.
Victor Osimhen
Speaking to the press on Monday ahead of the match, the Italian manager said that Napoli’s forwards have shown quality in the last couple of months.
He said, “They are very good forwards who have really broken out in the last year, they have demonstrated their quality and shown they are top-level players. They have amazing talent with different characteristics. Kvaratskhelia is very strong one-on-one and Osimhen is very dangerous.”

Ancelotti also noted that his side must put up a disciplined and complete display if they are to get a good result.
He said, “We’re playing against one of the best teams in Italy. They did very well last year, it’s going to be a hard-fought and even match because they have real quality, individual ability and the atmosphere will really push them on. We have to put on a disciplined and complete display. If we can do the same as we did in Girona, we’ll get a good result.”

Commenting on his in-form English midfielder Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid’s boss said, “Bellingham has settled in brilliantly. He is showing the quality he has. Whether or not someone considers him the best in the world is not important. I think we have the best team in the world, everyone included. I’m thrilled to have Bellingham here playing with us.”

Osimhen has 64 goals and 15 assists for Napoli in 109 games across all competitions since completing his record €70m – an African record – three years ago from Lille.
Osimhen scored five goals for Napoli in the Champions League last season. He has five goals in seven league appearances this term. Last season, Napoli were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Serie A rivals AC Milan.
Napoli have lost three of their last four against Real Madrid, with their only draw coming in the 1987/88 first round, second leg tie in Naples.
