Brazilian winger Antony Matheus dos Santos could return to the Manchester United side for their Champions League game with Galatasaray on Tuesday.
The Dutch coach while speaking to the press on Monday said “Antony will be in consideration but yesterday was his first time back in team training. We have a final training, then we’ll make a decision.”
The Red Devils granted the Brazil international forward indefinite leave following a series of disturbing claims made against him by former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin. Antony then returned to Brazil, allowing him to speak with police officers in Sao Paulo.
He returned to England last week and met with Greater Manchester Police for five hours. The 23-year-old winger maintains his innocence despite being accused by two more women.
Antony last appeared for United in the club’s 3-1 loss against Arsenal on September 3. He was left out of Brazil’s team for the most recent round of internationals and has not scored for club or country since April 16.
As United aim to grab their first UCL win of the campaign, Man Utd have confirmed that the likes of Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Amad, Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho are set to be unavailable.

Man United are looking to improve their form. The Red Devils have endured their worst start to a Premier League season, with a 1-0 home loss to Palace on Saturday dropping them to 10th place in the table with nine points from seven games. They also lost their first Champions League group game of the season, 4-3 to Bayern Munich.
Wilfried Zaha who joined Galatasaray in July after leaving Crystal Palace, could be the difference for the Turkish club.

The ex-United player from 2013 to 2014 who managed only two Premier League appearances for them, will team up with in-form Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, former Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez and ex-Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira in their squad, but they could be without on-loan Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech following a knock.
Okan Buruk’s Galatasaray side began their Champions League campaign with a 2-2 home draw with FC Copenhagen.
Mauro Icardi
Galatasaray are currently second in Turkey’s Super Lig, with six wins and a draw from seven games. In-form Icardi has registered seven goals in seven matches in the Super Lig this season as he hopes to be on the scoresheet today.
