Favour Obiefuna on Wednesday won gold medal in the female high jump event to increase Anambra Team's gold tally to three.
Obiefuna lept a sensational personal pest of 1.57m to clinch the gold in the event for Anambra beating her closet rival from Delta State to the second place.
The enthusiastic crowd at the Stephen Keshi Stadium could not hold back their excitement as they cheered her in unison.
"I used to jump 1.43m during training but I told myself that I must come top at this Games, so when I jumped 1.57m I wanted to try 1.59 but my coach advised that I stop," she said.
In a related development, Chiamaka Nwankwo of Anambra booked a place in the final of 200m sprint event after finishing top in Semi finals for girls.
