NPFL 2023/24 Draw: Enyimba to battle Insurance, as Rivers Utd hosts Remo Stars

Nigeria Premier League (NPL) Board has conducted the draw for the 2023/24 NPFL season.

The draw was made on Tuesday August 29 at the Sandralia Hotel, Jabi, Abuja immediately after the Inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held.

According to the draws, nine time Nigerian champions, Enyimba FC of Aba will begin their title defence against Bendel Insurance in the opening fixture of the 2023/2024 season.

 

Last season's runners-up Remo Stars have been handed a tricky trip to Port Harcourt to face Rivers United.

Shooting Stars will host Plateau united in Ibadan in a repeat of last season opener.

Bayelsa United will battle Akwa United in a south-south derby while Abia Warriors host Niger Tornadoes.

Debutant Sporting Lagos Will trade tackles with Gombe United while Heartland will face Lobi Stars.

Katsina United will host Kwara United while Sunshine Stars will trade tackles with Kano Pillars in Akure. Doma united will be the guests of Rangers FC in Enugu while Propel sports Africa will live stream the matches in selected venues across the nation.

The season will kick off on September 9th.
