All Clubs That Gain Promotion Truely Merit It To Maintain The NPL Title – Chidi Okonkwo

President of the Nigeria National League, Club owners, Mr. Chidi Okonkwo has rated the overall outcome of the just concluded Nigeria National League, NNL promotion playoff on a high note.

He said the four teams that got the promotion ticket in Playoff tagged 2023 Asaba Super got it on merit and he is sure they will add value and compete very well in the Nigeria Premier League, NPL.

The chairman of City Fc said Katsina United who finished first ahead of his team in one of the Northern Conference group provided they deserved it with the promotion ticket.

He congratulation Kano Pillars who do not waste time to return to the premiership but warned that they should learn from their lessons that relegated the team as he remind them that there is no tolerant of unruly or unsportsmanlike behavior in the NPL.

The retired professional footballer turn administrator also expressed how he appreciated the youthful and professional space playing style of Sporting Fc who was the first them to qualified ahead of the three clubs that has NPL experienced. The former chairman of Delta Force Fc expressed his joy for Heartland promotion and overall league winners but warned that all the clubs that got promoted need to buy more players and need to work closely with the media if they need to succeed.

Heartland defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 to be crown the overall winner of the 2023 Nigeria National League.
