Federation Cup: Enugu State Government Spurs Rangers To Victory

By Daily Sports Nigeria on June 21, 2023

The Enugu State Government has urged players and Management of Rangers International FC to be committed and win the 2023 Federation Cup final, scheduled to hold on Wednesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.

Rangers FC and Bendel Insurance FC will square up in the 2023 Federation cup final in what promises to deliver a festival of goals in Asaba.

The Permanent Secretary of Enugu State’s Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Krist Mbah, said that the government is solidly behind the club.

“All we want from the players and management of Rangers International FC is to be committed and see the final match as a door to bigger successes,” Mbah said.

“They have to see football as a business because that will sell the players globally and improve the technical profile of the players. My expectation is that Rangers FC is going to win the FA cup because we have made adequate arrangements to make the players and the technical team happy.”

“Enugu Government has done well by providing all the things needed to execute the match but all we seek is that Enugu people to come out en mass and support the club. My only happiness is that I saw Rangers in camp and they are all in high spirit going into the match,” he added.

The Permanent Secretary said that the players promised to present the trophy as gift to Governor Peter Mbah within his first 100 days in office.

“Our Governor is an entrepreneur, a young man who knows the ways of achieving his purpose, so sponsoring Rangers FC to continental competitions will not be a problem,” Mbah said.

“As for me, Rangers has done well in spite of the club’s woeful performance in the national league, but they were able to reach this height in the FA Cup.”
