Nwankwo Kanu visits Abia State governor

By Daily Sports Nigeria on June 14, 2023

Nigeria's former international, Nwankwo Kanu paid a courtesy visit to the governor of Abia State on Sunday to felicitate with him on his assumption to office, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

The former Arsenal star was at the Isialangwa country home of Dr. Otti, where he presented the Abia Governor with a gift of customised football Jersey shirt and giant-sized card bearing a goodwill message.

Kanu was one of those who championed the governor's campaign in 2015 and his visit comes at about three weeks after Alex Otti took over as the governor of the state following his victory at the 18 March Gubernatorial pools in the state.

Kanu, a former midfielder maestro for Nigeria, was instrumental in Nigeria winning the Atlanta 1996, scoring 12 goals at the senior level in 86 appearances.
