Former Liverpool striker, Stan Collymore, has advised Arsenal defender, Kieran Tierney to move to either Manchester City or Newcastle United this summer.
According to Collymore, Tierney would be a good fit for both Pep Guardiola’s side and Eddie Howe’s team amid interest from both Premier League clubs.
The 25-year-old established himself as a vital member of Mikel Arteta’s side since joining from Celtic for £25 million in 2019.
The tenacious left-back has fallen out of favour with Arteta this season, starting just six of his 25 Premier League appearances so far.
Collymore told Caught Offside, “Tierney is without a doubt a top-level player. If he went to the Etihad, I think he could be to City what Andy Robertson is to Liverpool.”
Sharing his thoughts on the Scotsman’s ability to fit in at both Manchester City and Newcastle, Collymore added, “He’ll be one of the club’s most reliable players. If he does join City, it would be a blow to Newcastle.
“He would be great; he’d fit their profile perfectly.
