€150m Osimhen too expensive for Bayern –Kahn

By Daily Sports Nigeria on May 11, 2023

Despite his impressive performance in Serie A, the Chief Executive Officer of Bayern Munich, Oliver Kahn claims that it will amount to a risky movo for the Bavarians to sign Nigeria international Victor Osimhen for €150m.

The Nigerian striker has had the best season of his career and powered Partenopei to their first historic Scudetto after 33 years to become the first Nigerian player to win the Serie A title.

The Nigerian forward scored the decisive goal in the second half as Napoli came back from trailing to defeat Udinese 2-1.

The German champions have been on the radar for the Napoli prolific goal-poacher in a bid to get his signature in the summer, for the Bayern star believes the price tag on Osimhen is too high and notes that the player is not worth the mega fee.

“When it’s about such a fee, we have to ask the question, does the player give you a guarantee for this money?” Kahn told SportBild.

“That would definitely be a big risk.”

Meanwhile, Napoli owner, Aurelio de Laurentiis, has assured Gli Azzurri fans that he has no intention of selling Osimhen this summer and has opened new contract negotiations with Osimhen’s agents.

The former Lille forward tops the Serie A goalscorers chart with 23 goals and five assists in 28 league appearances and is one of the integral players of Luciano Spalletti’s side.
