A host of Al Hilal fans took to social media to heap praise on Odion Ighalo following yet another impressive display for the club, much to the delight of their supporters, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Nigerian was among the goal scorers as Al Hilal edged Al Fateh 3-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the King’s Cup in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
In his last two games for Al Hilal, Ighalo has scored three goals, netting eight in his last five fixtures.
The former Manchester United striker has found the back of the net 11 times in 15 league games, scoring 18 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Showing their appreciation, some fans on Twitter spoke highly of the Nigerian forward.
khaled_q28 with a video of the goal scored by Ighalo, wrote, “In the best case, and in the worst case, in the best or in the weak, complete or incomplete, they ignore the artist who knows how to score at all times and under any circumstances.
“He is the one who retrieved the ball and he is the one who finished it in the roof of the goal.”
Reacting to khaled_q28’s post, another Twitter user BIue wing tweeted, “You are right and he has an advantage. Crazy in spinning and shooting. I hope he gets a lot of balls while he is trapped between the hearts of the defense. He has this advantage, frankly.”
Hwabrta added, “It is not the first time that he proves that he can make a difference. This time he confirms that he is a striker who makes a difference. Gomez was a good striker, but we cannot say that he reaches the strength of Ighalo.”
“Ighalo is a goal machine that needs someone to operate it, and unfortunately the distinguished playmaker is missing in Al Hilal,” mohd_karim2 wrote.
Abdullah_51s said, “On Tuesday, Ighalo was my imagination, he was receiving the ball, making and scoring. He is a very talented player.”
Another fan, SoccerAlgo, however, feels the Nigerian deserves more than he earns at the club.
He tweeted, “His contract and salaries are relatively cheap. He fell in love with Al-Hilal and he is ready to give you his best.”
