Genk of Belgium nurses no fear of losing striker Paul Onuachu at the re-opening of the transfer window next month.
After he was crowned Goal King of Belgium two seasons ago, Onuachu is the leading scorer in the league with 13 goals thus far.
Genk coach, Wouter Vranken said he would not be surprised if top European clubs attempt to sign their giant star striker, but he is confident Onuachu will stay put as the club aim to win the Belgian league championship.
“There will probably also be interest in Onuachu and Mike Tresor soon,” he told Voetbal
“It would be normal for there to be interest, but I don’t live in fear because they have indicated they would like to stay.”
Onuachu has a contract with Genk till 2024.
He was widely expected to make a major transfer to a top league two seasons ago when he finished top scorer of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
He is valued at between 15 and 20 Million Euros.
