The League Management Company (LMC) has taken cognizance of the scheduling of the live broadcast of Match Day 25 between Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos and City neighbors, Ikorodu United Football Club of Lagos and has consequently lifted the closed gates sanction imposed on the Agege Township Stadium, the home ground of the Olukoya Boys.
That sanction will now come into effect from their Match Day 27 home fixture against Heartland Football Club of Owerri.
“This decision has been taking in the exercise of its powers derived from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Rule Book and pursuant to taking any decisions the LMC to be in the overall good of the game”.
“The live broadcast schedule of NPFL matches are decided far ahead of the dates and we can neither allow such a game played without fans to be broadcast nor disrupt the operations of our broadcast partners”.
The match christened, the Lagos Derby holds on Sunday at the Agege Stadium.
