Leaders of thought and frontline political actors from Ibere Clan in Ikwuano Local Government Council under the auspices of lbere Clan Political Forum, after due diligence and wide consultations with women, youth leaders, Clan Presidents- General, Autonomous communities, the Fourteen Villages Heads and Development Unions, Forum of Title Chiefs and Ezes in Council, Okadas Union, Physically Challenged, Trade Union, general opinion moulders, general Critics and all relevant stakeholders have unanimously adopted Col. Akobundu Austin Okwudiri (rtd) as their candidate for Abia Central Senatorial zone in 2023 general electionsThe great people of Ibere Clan also endorsed Atiku Abubakar for President, Right Hon. Chinedum Orji for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Professor Eliazer Ikonne for Governor and Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi for Ikwuano State Constituency.
They vehemently resolved to take the lead to work assiduously hard to ensure 5 over 5 report cards for all the candidates in the State come 2023 polls for the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
The leaders of thought and political strategists led by Barrister Stanley Ojigbo, General Leader, who signed the statement made available to DSN include Commodore Corkey Lawson Executive Deputy Chairman Ikwuano Local Government Area, Hon Elder Nwaoha Henry U, former Transitional Chairman, Chief Clement Onukwue, former Transitional Chairman, Hon Ibelachi C Ibelachi former Local Government Party boss and Sclog Sampson Onyedika C, AC HI Councilor representative Ibere Ward l, Nwaoha NCILLR Representative Ibere Ward 2, Elder Joseph Ikeogu, party chieftain and former Deputy Transitional Chairman, Hon lkeogu Emeka, former Councilor, Lady Ijeoma Oriaku, Arc Chibuzo Uzoagwa Pablo Ejikeme Youth Leader, Pharmacist Mezie Uzuegbu, Clan President General, Chief Roland Osondu, Victor Oji and Uzo Ward Chairmen and host of critical stakeholders.
However our findings revealed that Ibere Clan has long been involved in door to door campaign for all the PDP candidates in the State and the tempo increases by the day.
According to him, the people of Ibere Clan stakeholders vowed to continue to not only stand by the party and her candidates but also to keenly and effectively monitor the elections from polling unit to the Ward and to the state level after massively voting for the PDP candidates.
