Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been adjudged the player with the most wasted goalscoring chances in the Italian Serie A.
According to the stats site, Kickest, Osimhen sits at the top of the special stat table for the number of wasted goal chances.
With seven fluffed goal scoring opportunities, Osimhen ranks higher than AS Roma duo of Tammy Abraham (5) and Paolo Dybala (4). Bologna’s Arnautovic and Roma’s Zaniolo complete the top five.
After Osimhen, the next Napoli player on the ranking is Mexico’s Lozano in the eighth position with three missed chances.
Osimhen, though, will not be disheartened as he remains Napoli and Nigeria’s most valuable player at €65 million (Transfermarkt).
The 23-year-old has contributed two goals, and one assist in five Serie A matches to help Napoli’s climb to the top of the Italian Serie A table.
The former Lille lad also has five goals for the Super Eagles in 2022, netting once against Sierra Leone and four times against Sao Tome and Principe in June.
The Nigeria international is currently out injured, though, having suffered a second-degree hamstring injury during the first half of Napoli’s 4-1 Champions League win over Liverpool on September 7.
Osimhen missed a penalty in that encounter before he was substituted.
