Among the 68 countries participating in the championship include the United States of America, Great Britain, Hungary, Poland, Egypt, France
Ukraine, Senegal and Algeria.

The General Secretary of Nigeria Rowing Federation, Olubunmi Ola-Oluode, who is participating in the championship as an International Umpire, told The Guardian in a telephone chat shortly on arrival in Canada that all the athletes were in high spirit and ready to do Nigeria proud.

“The athletes are here to give a good account of themselves and also represent our great country, Nigeria in the best possible way,” Ola-Oluode stated.
