By Victor Enyinnaya, Abuja on June 23, 2022

Nigerians from all works of life have condemned in the strongest terms the purported tenure elongation by the current executive committee board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) led by Amaju Pinnick and the prompt foiling of the move by Sports Minister Sunday Dare.

Across section of fans and pundits that spoke to Daily Sports thumbed up the move by Sports Minister that has giver some ray of hope that the  apex football body in the country would conduct its election to various positions come September.

They wondered why this Amaju Pinnick led body wanted to elongate its life span when there was no cogent reason (s) for such and call them total failure.

It would be recalled that the body had concluded its lies to extend its stay for one by feeding FIFA with lies and unfounded tales emanating from its own imagination.

However luck ran out of them when the wicked plan leak to the Minister who promptly wrote FIFA and foiled the move. As at the time of filing this report, the Minister has mandated NFF high command to summon its emergency meeting that would formally and legally inform them of election coming up in September and also the case filed by Bayelsa State out of Court.

The directive by the Federal Government to the NFF to ensure that election must be held on scheduled.

As the event unfolds the big fight begins. The failed Amaju Pinnick led executive committee seems to have no hiding place any more.

According to analysts that spoke to Daily Sports via phone said that the hen is home to roost this time as the odd against the current leadership looks unfavourable this time around. They chorused that their cup has filled to the brim and anything short of ensuring election into the executive committee is held would proved dangerous for the body in days to come.

Daily Sports would be on top of this story as it continues to develop for our readers.
