Kane Open To Signing New Tottenham Contract

By Daily Sports Nigeria on May 27, 2022

Harry Kane is reportedly open to signing a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur, with the England captain believing that the club are now heading in the right direction under Antonio Conte.

The centre-forward was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City during last summer’s transfer window, but the Citizens were ultimately priced out of a deal for the Englishman.

Man City will not be returning for Kane this summer, having agreed to sign Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, but Manchester United have been linked with the 28-year-old in recent months.

Kane ended the 2021-22 campaign with 27 goals and 10 assists in 50 appearances for Spurs, including 17 goals and nine assists in the Premier League, as Conte’s side finished fourth in the table.

The forward’s agreement at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium only has two years left to run, and there has recently been speculation surrounding his future, with the North London club facing a battle to make themselves title challengers due to the presence of Man City and Liverpool.
