England international, Fikayo Tomori says his decision to shun an international career with Nigeria in favour of England still remains the toughest of his career, reports owngoalnigeria.com.

Three years ago, Tomori turned down the chance to represent Nigeria at senior level in favour of England. He hasn’t quite hit the expected height with the Three Lions but he’s back in the squad after helping AC Milan to the Serie A title.

Speaking on his return, Tomori, who was eligible for Nigeria, Canada and England before settling for the latter, said Nigeria made the most push to have him commit his future to them.

“I was at a stage where I played for Canada at youth level then later England. At senior level, Nigeria had this thing with me due to my parents. I follow the Super Eagles a lot as a kid and as expected, my parents saw it as a dream if I play for Nigeria,” he said, via quotes sourced from Milan based podcast, Forza Milan.

“If I say it’s one of the difficult decisions of my career, then it’s not a lie. It still remains one of the hardest decision of my career,” he concluded.
