Chukwueze Aims To Make Seville 11th Laliga Victim In Own Scoring Record 0

By Daily Sports Nigeria on May 7, 2022

Nigeria and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze will be eager to make Seville, visitors to the Estadio de la Ceramica on Sunday, the 11th LaLiga side he has scored against among the 20 campaigners in the division this season.

The 22 year old has featured four times against Seville since he made his LaLiga debut in November 2018, winning just once and losing two.

Chukwueze has neither scored nor provided an assist to make the visitors the 10th club among those in the division this season he is yet to score against.

The Nigerian is also yet to score against Real Madrid in six appearances, Valencia in nine games, Bilbao in seven outings, as well as Getafe and Osasuna in six appearances each.

Chukwueze is also yet to score against Atletico Madrid (5), Cadiz (4), Elche (3) and Mallorca in just two games.

Chukwueze has however scored three each against Barcelona and Levante in seven appearances each, as well as twice against Real Betis.

The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner scored his first LaLiga goal of 2022 seven days ago in Villarreal’s 2-1 loss at the Mendizorrotza to their host, Deportivo Alaves, and will be seeking to score his first back-to-back goal in the competition since November 2018 when he scored against Rayo Vallecano and Real Betis.

If Chukwueze plays, it will be his 24th of the season and 115th since November 2018 when he made his debut in Laliga. And if he scores, it will be his fourth of the season and 15th in 115 games.
