Chelsea Plans To Offload Werner, Kepa, Barkley

By Daily Sports Nigeria on April 11, 2022

Chelsea is reportedly keen to sell Timo Werner, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Ross Barkley during this summer’s transfer window.

The Blues is said to be planning for the upcoming market despite the current uncertainty surrounding the ownership of the club.

According to The Telegraph, the capital giants will be looking to generate funds by selling unwanted squad players this summer, and Werner, Kepa and Barkley are all likely to be available for purchase.

Werner has again struggled to make his mark for Thomas Tuchel’s side during the 2021-22 campaign, managing just three goals and one assist in 16 Premier League appearances.

Kepa, meanwhile, remains number two to Edouard Mendy at Stamford Bridge, and the goalkeeper is picking up a substantial wage packet for largely sitting on the bench.

Barkley has also found it difficult to secure regular action this season, making just 12 appearances in all competitions, including only five outings in the Premier League.
