“Super Eagles will pull through and pick the ticket for the World Cup football tournament that will be coming up in Qatar in November”
These were the words of former midfield star of the Super Eagles Henry Nwosu (MON) while responding promptly to inquire posed by Daily Sports Correspondent from Benin City, Edo State.
“I’m confidence that the Eagles will do well right from the first leg right there in Kumasi. I believe also that Eguaveon and Amuneke would bring their vast experiences to bear to ensure that right players that are form are selected as first eleven and unleash them on Ghanaians for optimum result right in front of their fans,” he said.
Nwosu observed that the most important thing to note at this juncture is for the Super Eagles coaches to ensure that it harnesses and harmonized things so as to get a good result on the road.
Nigeria has the players to do well in Ghana first leg and with good planning and foresight on the part of the handlers. It will be like games between Nigeria and Ghana so nothing should be left undone to achieve clinical finishing. Opportunity has presented its self and it is left for the handlers and the players to close in accordingly to grab such waiting opportunity.
The ex-international restated that the quality of players invited for this crucial World Cup play-off double header are capable of pick at least a point right there in Kumasi, Ghana during the first leg game.
“Our focus and attention for this game is total and I believe all hands should continue to be on deck for this critical moment. I must say that the oneness amongst the stakeholders and such would lead us to our winning ways. I believe with eyes on the ball the issue of getting result in Ghana may not be far fetched,” he informed.
Nwosu commended the leadership of the NFF and Sports Minister have shown great leadership so far this double header match is concern. One hopes the technical and the players will get it right on pitch to compliment the efforts of the above. Nigerians are solidly behind the team and will demonstrate such during the first leg in Kumasi and then the return leg in Abuja.
“Super Eagles in this context have to get their acts together and put every feet right to ensure that it does not concede unnecessary goal as good result would make it a little easier in the return leg two days later,” he appeals.
