The Proprietor of Go Round FC of Port Harcourt, Bro Felix Obuah, has praised the foresight of the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, in appointing former Super Eagles Captain, Chief Joseph Yobo, as his Senior Special Assistant on Sports. This, he said, shows Governor Wike’s unflinching covenant with the youths of Rivers State.
Philanthropist Obuah remarked that the step is in the right direction, as Yobo, an ex-international that reached the peak of his career, is in a vantage position to know what the teeming youths of the state who wish to pursue a career in sports need to succeed.
“One doesn’t need to look too far to agree that the Governor Wike administration is youths friendly. His programmes for the enhancement of our youths have been irresistible. I will appeal to our teeming youths to totally embrace it wholeheartedly for their good and that of the society at the end of the day,” Bro Obuah told Daily Sports.
“The Governor,” according to him, “has set the tone to roundly encourage our youths. The youths must take up the challenge as they endeavour to channel their raw energies to the overall best in their sports of choice.
“Our youths are the leaders of tomorrow and their potentials must be truly harnessed. That is the crux of Governor Wike’s body language. The youths must not allow it slip.”
