Ogene Elijah returns to Sunshine Stars

By Daily Sports on June 17, 2016

Sunshine Stars' Ogene Elijah had declared that he is fit and up for selection, after returning from a lengthy injury lay-off.

The former Abia Warriors player injured his knee a month ago, but he has since resumed training and stated that he is fit and available for the Owena Waves.

Sunshine Stars will not be in action this weekend as their opponent, Enyimba FC will be in action in the CAF Champions League against Egyptian club, Zamalek SC on Sunday.

"I am fit and ready for real action," Elijah told Goal.

"It has been a long but encouraging recovery for me since I injured my knee from a bad landing. Though I had to sit and watch while I hoped to get back on my feet again.

"But at the moment I'm fit and available for selection. I've resumed training since two weeks back and the come back process has been fantastic."
