Shooting Stars of Ibadan recorded their first win of the Nigerian Professional League season when they beat visiting Katsina United 1-0 at the Lekan Salami stadium. The solitary goal was scored in the 62nd minute by W. Alalade.
In Gombe, Gombe United pummeled Lobi Stars Of Makurdi to submission in a thrilling 3-0 win. All 3 goals were scored in the second half as Lobi’s resistance weakened.
Y. AbdulAzeez got a brace while an own-goal completed Lobi’s misery. Kwara United recorded an impressive away draw against Abia Warriors.
It was a game of an early and a late goal as Abia Warriors 1st minute goal was cancelled out in the 87th minute when the visitors equalized.
