Arsenal are reportedly ready to increase their offer for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic to €80m (£68.2m).
The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the most coveted youngsters in world football in 2021, having scored 15 goals and created two more in just 17 appearances across all competitions this season.
A number of Europe’s biggest clubs have been credited with an interest in Vlahovic, with Manchester City understood to be keen admirers and Manchester United also keeping tabs on his progress.
Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the Serbia international too, but Sport Mediaset claims that Arsenal are now willing to attempt to outbid their rivals. The Gunners have reportedly given the green light for a £68m bid to be made, which they hope will be enough to convince Fiorentina to sell.
Separate reports have previously suggested that Vlahovic has already turned down a move to the Emirates Stadium, though, and that he would prefer to stay in Italy if possible.
Vlahovic’s contract at Fiorentina expires in 2023, and the Serie A outfit are reportedly open to cashing in on their star man should a big-money bid be made before his value begins to decrease as his current deal runs down. (Sports Mole)
