Ralf Rangnick has said that he wants Manchester United “to perform in a successful way and to play in style” when questioned on what the club’s supporters could expect from the team under his management.
The German officially started work as interim head coach on Friday, having been in the stands for Thursday’s 3-2 victory over Arsenal in the Premier League. Rangnick is currently preparing the team for Sunday’s league clash with Crystal Palace, and the 63-year-old has vowed to bring style and results to the Red Devils.
“As I said, I think everybody expects – especially the supporters but also the players and the coaching staff – to perform in a successful way and to play in style,” Rangnick told MUTV.
“And to combine those two things I think this is the major target in the next days, weeks, months. To make sure the fans can see what we want to play and that we do that, investing everything we can to get better. This is, for me, the major target in the next weeks.”
Man United will be bidding to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time since the middle of September when they host Palace on Sunday. (Sports Mole)
