Eddie Nketia ‘Rejects Arsenal’s Latest Contract Offer’

By Daily Sports on December 2, 2021

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has reportedly turned down the club’s latest offer of a new deal.

The 22-year-old is still waiting for his first appearance of the 2021-22 Premier League season but has scored two goals from two appearances in the EFL Cup.

Nketiah’s existing deal with the Gunners is due to expire next summer, although Mikel Arteta has affirmed his desire to keep the striker on the books beyond 2022.

However, Sky Sports News claims that Nketiah has rebuffed Arsenal’s latest attempt to tie him down to fresh terms, with the former England Under-21 international frustrated at his lack of game time.

The likes of Borussia Monchengladbach, Leeds United and West Ham United have all been credited with an interest in Nketiah, who is free to talk to clubs elsewhere from January.

Nketiah has registered 15 goals in 67 games for Arsenal across all tournaments, five of which have come in the Premier League. (Sports Mole)
