Manchester United reportedly contacted Roberto Mancini to discuss the managerial role at Old Trafford but were informed that he was not interested at this moment in time.
The Red Devils are currently searching for an interim head coach to lead the team for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign, having sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the weekend.
However, the 20-time English champions are still thought to be open to appointing a long-term boss in the coming weeks if the right candidate becomes available. (Sports Mole)
