Greater Accra Division 2 outfit EurAfrica FC are enjoying the benefits of a new partnership with RomaCares, the social arm of Italian Serie A side AS Roma after they received new kits and training equipment ahead of the new season.
The club is currently on a high after the exploits of one of their recent graduates, Felix Ohene Afena-Gyan, in the Serie A.
The young Ghanaian striker has been in the news recently after he came off the bench to bang in two goals for Jose Mourinho-coached Roma to beat Genoa in the Italian Serie A. The goals prompted Mourinho to fulfill a promise of an €800 pair of canvas to the 18-year old.
Speaking on the partnership between Roma and Eurafica FC, CEO of the club, Kathleen Arthur, described it as timely. “We have had a lot of things to celebrate at EurAfrica recently and we are happy to receive these things from Felix’s team. It will encourage more of the young boys we have to work hard,” she said.
The Madina-based club also recently signed a marketing and representation agreement with ArthurLegacy Sports, the agency of leading Ghanaian agent Oliver Arthur. (Citisportsonline.com)
