Arsenal Could Replace Auba, Pepe, Elneny & Partey in January

African stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny and Nicolas Pepe could be replaced by Arsenal FC in January 2022.

This has been confirmed by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as he indicated that the English Premier League giants will find the ‘right replacements’ for the players, who will not be available because of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.

Gabon captain Aubameyang, Ghanaian midfield maestro Thomas Partey, Egyptian defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny, and Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe are set to represent their countries in a continental tournament that will be held between January and February 2022.

“Let’s see where we are at that point, which players we have available and which players definitely have to be there and for how long, because there are some question marks there as well,” Arteta said on Goal.

“We will find a solution. If they have to leave, they have to leave. We’ll have to find the right replacements for them.”

Gabon and Ghana are both in Group C along with Morocco and Comoros, while Egypt find themselves in Group D alongside Nigeria, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau.

Pepe’s Ivory Coast are set to lock horns with Algeria, Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea in Group E.

Arsenal are set to face top teams such as Manchester City, Chelsea FC, and Tottenham Hotspur between January and February next year. (African Football)
