Arsenal’s Woes: Balogun’s Brother Tackles Arteta

By Daily Sports on September 15, 2021

The brother of Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun has hit out at manager Mikel Arteta.

Balogun, 20, started the opening day defeat at Brentford and then came off the bench in the home loss to Chelsea.

He has not appeared since – and now his brother has claimed Arteta’s system ‘just doesn’t really work’ currently.

Royce Balogun told @whatthefootie: “You can’t blame just the player, it’s the system.

“If you look at that striker problem in terms of chances created, it’s not just Folarin.

“When Martinelli and Aubameyang were playing there, the system didn't work.”

He added: “The system just doesn’t really work at the moment. Soon it will work and he'll have to be ready when it does.

“You have to support him and tell him to keep going.” (Tribal Football)
