The management of Kano Pillars Football Club, says it had pencilled down 16 new players for screening, ahead of the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Idris Malikawa, the Media Officer of the club, said this in a statement on Sunday, in Kano, adding that the decision was taken at a Board meeting held at the club’s secretariat in Kano with a view to strengthen the team for the forthcoming season.
“16 new players from various clubs have been pencilled down and will be invited by the club for negotiations very soon, ahead of the 2021/2022 football season,” he explained.
He added that the management had also invited interested coaches to apply for the vacant position of Technical Adviser.
“The board, however, resolved that any coach that will apply for the job must have a CAF ‘A’ license and that interested candidates are to submit their applications on or before Aug. 27 to the club’s secretariat or through the club’s mail account,” Malikawa said.
Meanwhile, he added that the team would resume camp on Aug. 23 and players expected to return would be communicated by the club secretariat. (NAN)
