Arsenal Make Opening Swap Offer for Lautaro Martinez

By Daily sports on August 3, 2021

Arsenal have made an opening swap offer for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

The Mirror says Arsenal's offer to swap Alexandre Lacazette for Inter striker Martinez was swiftly rebuffed, according to reports in Italy.

Lacazette, 30, is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates with less than 12 months remaining on his contract and doubts over his ability to lead the line for the Gunners.

Martinez, 23, presents Arsenal with a youthful replacement for Lacazette and the Argentine impressed with 17 goals as Inter triumphed in Serie A last campaign.

But the Gunners may be some way off meeting Inter’s valuation and their hopes of securing a straight swap deal for the two strikers was met with a ‘blunt no’ by San Siro chiefs. (Tribal Football)
