Umar Sadiq Emerges On Manchester City’s Radar

By Daily sports on July 2, 2021

Umar Sadiq has reportedly emerged on Manchester City’s transfer radar.

According to AS, the Premier League champions are plotting a move for the Nigerian forward.

City plan to loan Sadiq out to French Ligue 1 club Troyes for the 2021/22 season with the aim of evaluating his progress at the conclusion of the campaign, to see if he is ready for Premier League football.

Sadiq has attracted a lot of attention over the course of the last few months with both Spartak Moscow and Eintracht Frankfurt having submitted reported offers for the towering forward.

The 24-year-old scored 28 goals in 56 appearances across all competitions for UD Almeria last season, but despite his best efforts he couldn’t help them win promotion back to LaLiga.

Almeria finished the 2020/21 campaign in fourth spot on the Segunda Division standings, but lost to Girona in the playoffs.

The 2016 Olympic bronze medal winner joined Almeria from Partizan Belgrade in October last year. He is contracted to the LaLiga 2 side until 2025. (African Football)
